Deeply rooted in the historic struggles for national self-determination, Palestinian cinema has blossomed over the past quarter-century to become a major artistic force on the global scene. As part of the Voices Forward festival’s opening night festivities, arts journalist and Pages proprietor Marc Glassman will discuss the evolution of filmmaking in Palestine with George Khleifi, co-author of Palestinian Cinema: Landscape, Memory & Trauma.
