TINARS in a new decade
2009 was a year when bricks and mortar turned into clicks and events-based book selling. We at TINARS felt the loss of our own bricks, Pages Books and Magazines and the year closed with the demise of McNally Robinson's barely 8 month old Don Mills location.
2010 brings with it the hope that people still love books and the creative process that goes into every single one. It is our belief that books are here to stay and cannot simply be replaced by an electronic reader. There is something special about holding tightly bound pieces of paper in your hands. There is also something to be said for buying books from an independent retailer or your local literary series where you get to hear the author talk spontaneously about their influences, their dark times writing, and their joy at finally publishing their work.
Here's to a new year and a new decade of books!
