Noted poet, music journalist and author Liz Worth has just penned the first ever chronicle of the early Toronto punk scene, Treat Me Like Dirt: An Oral History Of Punk In Toronto And Beyond (1977-81) (Bongo Beat Books). On the eve of the TINARS launch for her eagerly awaited book, Worth sat down with Winston, our old school punk penguin.

Stacey May Fowles is an author, journalist and editor. She has contributed to numerous online and print periodicals, notably Open Book Toronto, Torontoist, Broken Pencil and The Walrus Magazine. Her first novel, Be Good (Tightrope Books), was published to wide acclaim and remains one of the bestselling titles in the Small Press section at Pages Books.

At the debut of the She’s Shameless anthology on Tuesday June 23, novelist Ibi Kaslik will conduct the inaugural TINARS writing workshop with teenaged girls. Ibi took a moment today to give Winston the lowdown on this new venture.

Veteran artist, designer and author Barbara Klunder is one of the headliners at ‘totstock 09’ on June 21. She and Winston spent last Sunday dancing on Ward’s Island, to celebrate The Animal’s Day.

As veteran CBC broadcaster Jowi Taylor gets ready to launch the chronicle of his Six String Nation project next Tuesday at the Gladstone, he takes a moment to trade a few riffs with Winston.
